Continuity.
Fatherhood is, first of all, continuity. Being a father is not just a status, it is a responsibility that includes many aspects, one of which is continuity. Being a father means passing on your knowledge and experience to your children, teaching them about life, helping them become independent and responsible people. Continuity is an important part of fatherhood. This is the transfer of values, traditions, and culture from generation to generation. This is the preservation and development of what has been acquired throughout life in a relationship with God. Continuity in paternity is the transfer of experience, knowledge and values from generation to generation. It helps children better understand themselves and the world around them, and also provides a connection between the past and the future.
The influence of fatherhood.
Fathers play an important role in shaping the personality of their children. They can teach them responsibility, independence, respect for other people and many other important qualities. In addition, fathers can pass on knowledge and skills to their children that will help them in life. This could be anything from the ability to play football to the ability to solve complex problems. However, for succession to be successful, fathers must be prepared for it. They must be open to communication with children, ready to listen to them and help them. They must also be willing to educate themselves so that they can be an example for their children.
Your investment in a relationship. Continuity.
You can teach children a lot of things for a long time and still not teach them anything. Until you yourself lead by example, you will not teach your children with your life. They will never learn anything. It was a big revelation for me: when my son complained to me that I had not taught him to be a man. Because I considered it my duty to raise my son into a responsible man. I tried to give him freedom in his actions, but always remember that he must be responsible for his actions. After his complaint, I greatly reconsidered my attitude. And I came to the conclusion that teaching children is not enough. What you need to show by example. And not just show, but take children and do it together. Do with love, do with patience, do with mercy.
Continuity is transmitted through personal relationships.
Continuity is transmitted through personal relationships with children. Children are your reflection. Everything depends on you. How much time you put into them and what you put into them. Your behavior and your reaction to various situations and circumstances. Instructs children on what they can and cannot do. From the example of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob you can see what their fathers did and what their sons did. But despite the stupidities and mistakes they made. They became patriarchs of the faith and passed on the main heritage to subsequent generations. This is a relationship with God. The main task in fatherhood is this. For children to have a personal relationship with God. Even if you leave a bill for tens or hundreds of millions of dollars. But don’t teach your children to have a personal relationship with God. Then believe me that in a crisis they will easily lose everything. But if your children have a personal relationship with God. They will be the most prosperous people during the famine. They will be the most economically and politically powerful people in times of crisis.
A personal example in life.
Here are some tips to help you pass on values to your children: Be honest and have integrity. Show children that honesty and integrity are important qualities. Tell them the truth, even if it may be unpleasant. Respect other people. Show children that respect for other people is an important quality. Teach them to listen to other people and understand their point of view. Help other people. Show children that helping other people is important. Teach them to be kind and sympathetic. Share your knowledge and experience. Show children that knowledge is power. Teach them to learn and develop. Of course, every father can pass on his values to his children in his own way. The main thing is to be sincere and open in communicating with children, set an example for them with your actions and be ready to answer their questions.
Continuity in the modern world.
In the modern world, where values and traditions are rapidly changing, it is important to maintain continuity and pass on to your children what was formed in the relationship between you and God. This will help them become the people they should become. If you don’t teach your children to have a personal relationship with God and they will hide from God. Thus, they will run away from themselves. And children will not reveal the full potential that was laid down by God. Children simply will not understand who they really are. In the modern world, people are lost in society. And people perceive themselves as the environment imposed on them. For a long time I considered myself a Muslim because I was born in a Muslim country. And my parents were Muslims. Thus, I also considered myself a Muslim, although I had no idea about Islam.
Help the children to be accepted.
But after I accepted Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior, my life changed dramatically. You can say that I was and lived as an orphan, even though I had parents. I have nothing against my parents, but my condition was such that I needed to constantly adapt to society. The environment dictated to me who I should be. But in God I found freedom. I realized that I needed to be myself. Just to be myself, but not the way I see myself or society. I must be myself as God sees me. You must look at yourself and those around you through the eyes of God. And this is only possible through a personal relationship with God. And this is the continuity that you should leave to your children. I believe continuity is an important part of fatherhood. In order to pass on a legacy to generations, you must have a personal relationship with God and your children.
How to strengthen the relationship between parents and children?
Spend time together. This could be anything — going to church together, going to the movies, walking in the park, playing football, or just talking over dinner. The main thing is to be together and enjoy this time. Listen to your children. They want to be heard and understood. Show them that you are willing to listen to them and accept them for who they are. Help your children. They need your support and help. Be there when they need you and help them achieve their goals.
Be an example for your children. Your children look up to you and learn from you.
Create a sense of dignity in children.
Show them how to be a responsible, independent and respectful person. Respect your children. Respect their opinions, feelings and desires. Show them that they are important to you.
